The Fund Governance Association

The Fund Governance Association (FGA) was founded to raise standards of corporate governance in the alternative asset management industry and to encourage investor involvement in fund board matters. It is now opening up the Association to wider membership.

The FGA is a not for profit company that is owned by its members. It is for all those that have an interest in seeing improvements in the governance of alternative funds - particularly investors, managers, service providers and non-executive directors in the US, Europe and offshore.

The FGA will seek to educate investors on the importance of focusing on the governance of the funds that they allocate to.  The establishment of the FGA means that investors have a body that they can consult with and look to for guidance on governance matters.
